EMVIO, NGO. The purpose of the EMIVO AMKE is non-profit, within the meaning of article 784AK and consists mainly in activities in the sectors: Social solidarity and care, Culture, Environ- mental protection, Public Health. In addition, the purposes of the NGO will be: cooperation with Municipalities and governmental state organizations for the promotion of joint programs in the above sectors with the goal of the development of the social economy.

The implementation of environmental, cultural, and social awareness actions for the protection and promotion of the natural and cultural environment, as well as conferences, festivals, digitization of ecological and cultural content, cultural events and individual actions in non-profit infrastructure projects. The creation of a “knowledge community” and information bank for volunteers in the fields of environment, culture, social care and quality of life, through horizontal communication, networking and consulting within the various collective organizations. The creation of the necessary conditions and possibilities of know-how for the support and consulting of companies with design and studies of programs. The creation of a forum and a study center to promote the company’s areas of interest with the goal of enhancing local employment. Informing social groups of young people, women, people with disabilities for the creation of self-employment counselling and small businesses in the field of social economy.

The undertaking of international initiative and collaborations with other reliable bodies such as NGOs, Local Authorities, University Networks, Cooperatives, Chambers, etc. with the aim of developing social solidarity actions in Greece and in third countries for the reduction of poverty and backwardness of population groups, as well as the access of these groups to the knowledge society.

The elaboration of studies and the undertaking of development initiatives in Greece and in foreign countries for the creation of local employment opportunities in the weakest groups of the population, women, young people and the disabled. The promotion of institutional forms of dissemination of scientific knowledge in countries that do not belong to the European continent and are not members of the community.

Strengthening the convergence mechanisms towards the European Union, the countries of Eastern and Central Europe. Taking initiatives for the implementation of cultural exchange programs and travels for educational, research and scientific goals and exchange of new and corresponding exchanges with collective organizations that promote social goals (education, training, gender equality, etc.). The elaboration of studies and the undertaking of development initiatives in Greece and in foreign countries for the creation of local employment opportunities in the weakest groups of the population, women, and young people.

The company will also provide support services aimed at combating poverty and social exclusion.
