Human and Zoonotic Disease Prevention and Combating Antimicrobial Resistance

Workshop in Lille, France

one-bridge

Workshop Description:
In the face of increasing infectious threats and the alarming rise of antimicrobial resistance, cooperation between the fields of human, animal, and environmental health has never been more essential. It is in this spirit that the European project One-Bridge was launched. Its program addresses one of today’s major challenges: preventing the emergence and spread of infectious diseases while strengthening the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Rooted in the One Health approach, the workshop will explore emerging pathogens at the interface between humans, animals, and the environment. It will focus in particular on zoonotic viruses and multidrug-resistant bacteria, which pose an escalating threat to global health, as well as on new control strategies presented by leading experts in the field. Through expert presentations, interactive discussions, and concrete case studies, this workshop will foster interdisciplinary dialogue and the development of innovative strategies for the surveillance, early detection, and prevention of infectious diseases.
